Really, going to Japan is one of my serious dream in life. Maybe 5 years down? I dunnoe... 3 yrs?
I had a great time flying kite, literally, at Anchorvale with my 2 nephews, my hub, my sis, bro-in-law and mummy...

I bought the kite at Chinatown in the morning... I think I was too greedy, cuz I bought a really big kite and having no one with me who knows how to fly/tie/control the kite, we had a hard time!

Finally, the kite managed to fly high up, which is not very high, but as high as how kite could since there was limited string! (Reminds me that I must buy strings..)

I am going back there again pretty soon... more prepared.

And the fields are muddy and full of holes as it had been raining the last few days. Urgh! Thinking of investing a PhuA-Chu-KanG boots... "What say you?"

I have a dream

To go Japan and teach.

Ohayo Gozaimasu!

Note that it's Ohayo, and not Ohaiyo.

I am now stuck in my staffroom, with nothing to do. Due to H1N1, the P3 teachers have been moved up to the library resource room. Library opens only at 8am, I heard, and I absolutely have nothing to do...

I hope to leave by 2pm today, meeting a student who went travelling and had to stay back to do some catching up with him.

Alrighty, time to read the newspapers..

Mummy permed my fringe once when I was in P4 and this was how "kok" I looked.

After I did not perm it.. I "folded" in my hair, LAR.

If you ask me when is my fave time of the day within a week, I wld say it's Sunday morning... Cuz I love to have breakfast with my love, read newspapers, hear the monotonous of the fan spinning in the kopitiam...

That's Orchard Road's Killiney.

Cravings for oyster led me to VIvocity's MusselsGuys which led me to a whole night of itch...

My second catch was a catfish..... Qua Qua Qua Qua.... Edible, but... the question is.... do you DARE??????

DARE: in jap means Who, a more polite way would be DONATA.. hee :)

With the guidance under colleague-friend, Iv Tan, despite the blistering cold and rain and coastal breeze, we managed to enjoy ourselves alot...

I think I will remember that moment in my life... First catch, pufferfish at Punggol Beach.

It was rather hilarious... I thought it was a mangosteen... until the guys around that area came over and inspected it and told me that it was a pufferfish...After that huge pufferfish was caught... everyone on the jetty started to catch more and more fishes!

Me and Hubby fished in the morning... with ZeRO CATCH. Wrong Timing I heard. Lots to learn.

Dirt? Mud? nope... it's blood. The blood of earthworm. I never imagined that I had to pull apart an earthworm or drag it out of its comfortable and natural wormery. And then drown them... before they get eaten up. Fishing baits.

Coconut Grove.. If you ask me to go to this place again, I have no idea... Cuz I just turn anywhere anyhow...

I screamed and yelled upon this sight, causing The Hub to yell too(and he was irritated by me and my drama mama early in the morning...)

But really... this fish looks freaky... it's NOT FAKE. So being the auntie that I always am, I asked the uncle selling fishing rods(that we went cuz we decided that we want to fish, yes, we are very "the" spontaneous) at Changi Village...

Auntie Jesslyn: Uncle uncle! I show u a fish that I saw on the shore just now!

Uncle: Wah La*! This fish ah, is those kind of dirty fish ah! they say last time in Ubi.... use this.... hit baby... die... Like a shoe... unlucky.. blah blah blah...

Auntie Jesslyn: *trembles* and pretends not to hear anymore

Uncle: hahaha... you better delete, later at night got nightmare ah..

When I went home, being a Science person, I did a research(it's difficult to find info thru pictures ya? But I managed to..)and here it is:

They are remoras....sucker fish that stick to whales, sharks, turtles, etc. They are really playful and swam circles around me and yanked at my zipper tag at times and rubbed up to me.... it was almost like they were posing as they zoomed towards me and then pulled away..... a few of them even sucked onto other diver's legs and hitched a ride throughout the entire dive! Here's another shot of the same two fish.... one of my friends calls it the "Bata" fish....looks like the sole of a Bata shoe on top of their heads!
taken from here

My mind keeps hovering over the phrase "They are really playful and swam circles around"... Now, the photo doesn't look as scary right? THEY ARE SUPPOSED to be playful LAR. and playful things are normally cute. And cute things are normally not haunted or whatsoever...

And I showed my luv to him by preparing this dish a few days after my bday. Other than the heart shaped ham cut-out, it taste as disgusting as it looks. Failed!

What more can I ask for on my birthday? My hubby woke me up early on my bday and surprised me with a delicious bowl of Mee Suah.. something that my mum always prepare for me every birthday. I told you that my hubby is the best hubby in the world, you don't believe me.

Mothers are all wei3 da4... planning everything and doing everything for their children. I think I still lack this type of thinking... The lame pple around me...

Me: Michael Jackson died..

Shengrong: Ya I know, he told me yesterday. And it doesn't matter if he's black or alive.

Me: Qua qua qua qua...

My Japanese class
As mentioned I am taking jap classes every friday. My classmates are all funny and my teacher is fun-loving too! Most of them are university students... unlike wat i tot initially, all teenagers. Today's my second lesson and I am having a test already! AND It will be taken into Semestral assessment! Yes, my jap school is a very serious one. I have learnt all the hiragana characters and I know how to read/write all of them! MUAHAHAHA.. and I revised the characters by visiting DAISO yesterday and started reading them. haha.

Very happy that finally, after years of hesitation I am taking up jap class again(used to take it when I was in Pri 4) My daddy's taken his JLPT 3 and 2, so he's good enough to help me in anything I am not sure.

Alright, gtg! Lessons at 8pm.

My art course will be placed on hold. Instead, hubby said that we can go out painting once a month ourselves.

Ahhh!! the photoshoot photos are out! Its beautiful! My fats are flying everywhere! :)

But its nicey licey!

Thursday, June 18, 2009

My holiday has not been an agitative, animating, appealing, arousing, arresting, astonishing, bracing, breathtaking, commoving, dangerous, dramatic, electrifying, exhilarant, eye-popping, far-out, fine, flashy, groovy, hair-raising, heady, hectic, impelling, impressive, interesting, intoxicating, intriguing, lively, melodramatic, mind-blowing, moving, neat, overpowering, overwhelming, provocative, racy, rip-roaring, rousing, sensational, showy, spine-tingling, stimulating, stirring, thrilling, titillating, wild, zestful*...

Neither was it boring, moderate, unenthused, unenthusiastic, unexciting, uninspiring, unpromising, unstimulating**.

It was simply serene, peaceful, uninterrupted, unruffled. Other than the 2 days of mosquito-feeding holiday getaway, a day attending a colleague's wedding and 1 day out there meeting the friend, I spent most of my days "quarantined" at home. My persistent cough has gradually transformed itself to one that sounds like a transvestite coughing. It sounds like this, "Kweee Wheeeze Wheeeze Hiss!" And it's becuz of the huge amount of dust that I had to face/swallow/breath in everyday that I am not recovering.

It all started with that tin of paint. Made me embark on the Project Houseway. Started clearing, throwing, cleaning everything. From the moment I open my eyes, 7am till about evening time, 7pm. Then we either go for a walk, eat some famous pratas, slack at home, watch DVDs etc. That's my life for now.

I am trying to get my stuffs organised. FOr those who know me, U know that I am not very organised... untidy, messy... etc. Never believed in filing, organising stuffs... But I realised, in teaching, it gets quite tedious if you do not have a system. One need not be freaky neat, but at least categorising things around. And by doing so, I found out that I have 4kg of pens... 2.2kg of colour pencils... 14 pairs of scissors... 8 penknives. YES! It's that horrible! It's a vicious cycle. Not organised, I need something, I can't find, I buy, then not organised, when i need it again, I can't find, so I buy..So can u imagined that it most prob happened to me 14 times for the scissor's case?? etc etc.

I do not know how long I can be organised...but I do not want to stress myself over this. If things cannot stay the way it is, then... SBI(so be it!):)

Perhaps, like wat a colleague, Rata lata said, an "organised mess" is a way of working thru.

It's nearing 7pm. My job as a "maid" is going to end... though today I skived a lil'.

I'll continue tml! Here are things not done:

The KITCHEN
The lightnings neeed to be wiped.
The furnitures need to be wiped.
The loose papers are categorised but they are not filed.
The impt documents are in a mess.
The fridge needs to be cleaned.
The shoe racks outside and inside needs to be tidied.
Need to start ironing and folding the new "batch" of clothes!

Hopefully, saturday's the last day of my cleaning up. And Sunday's a FULL DAY FOR ME! Photoshoot den dad-in-law's lunch den dad's dinner...

I did not spend a single cent of my pay since payday! Yahoo! :)

Findings: I can survive without handphones.
Conclusion: I don't need a handphone.

Mrs Blur Besslyn

She went swimming today, and she paid $1, entered the swimming complex, remove her clothings and bath, and wanted to change into her swimming costume when she realised that she had left her costume in her car!!! So she wore her clothes back and talked to the lifeguard abt it. Lifeguard says ok, and she went back to her car to get her costume, and got to enter into the comples FOC again. THEN, when she stepped into the complex, she realised she left her googles in the CAR!!!!!!!! ROAAAR!!!!!!! And with her very thick skin, she approached the same lifeguard... and the lifeguard giggled and shook his head...... and agreed to let her go out and in once more.

Then se forgot to bring her bathing foam and shampoo, and she went to the stall and to her horror.. the bath foam costs $2.50 for a mini-fini-zini bottle! And she asked for a discount.. and got REJECTED by the auntie who gave her a DISGUSTED LOOK.

Not only that... she realised that many ppple were staring at her after the swim becuz HER MASCARA HAD SMUDGED AND EVERYONE TOT SHE WAS A GIANT PANDA! She realised that only when she was out from her bath.

Nowadays, I feel that I cannot blog properly as there seems to be so much more things to do...
I am coughing... still.

Went Tong Shui for supper with Ying hao, Ah-Xi, Peggy, Zhi han and "Josh Groban". Hubby was there too... Will never forget the rats that I saw the last time we went Zion market, so we went into Tong Shui and ate their toasted bread...

Today, there were three instances that that I wanted to sneeeze but couldn't. And I find that feeling very horrible!

Eng sentence structure dont seem right, but too tired to eddit. Thank God for reporting time at 9am.

I think I don't mind teaching afternoon session.

My diagnosed ADHD is preventing me from shutting the computer down and that explains why i (might) be late to fetch my hubby from his studies. Poor him.

That also explains why I am always late. I lack that chemical in my brain to stop whatever activity I indulge in.
The reason why I have not been blogging here is simple.

I have been blogging elsewhere.

The Notebook
The curious case of Benjamin Buttons

They never fail to make me cry everytime I watch it. And then I would always wanna give my hub the biggest hug in the world, and let him know how much I love him.

I am now servicing my car. My body is here, but my heart is somewhere in orchard. The girls just called me and told me that the sale is great! Waaaa....... Sob!

:)

I hope to get hold of her so that I will not spoil her weekend....

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

There's a time to have fun. And also a time to be serious.
There's a time to rest, before you put yr body to a test.

I have so many to blog about. There's the MLCMICLabBIDRSIAABProblem! But right now, there's the IHTSB12 problem.

I Have To Sleep By 12.

I am a Brillionaire

I am not feeeeeling well. I find it difficult to count the numbers of 'e's that I had just typed. The room is spinning and my fingers are just moving. I am tired, but the hair's not dry. I feel calm and peaceful though. Don't even try to read this blog. U will feel nauseous cuz the thoughts are shaky. and disorganized. But no comments pls. I like my world to be as it is.

Hub asked me whether I wanna go Bangkok.<--- Is that how you spell Bangkok? It looks weird to me. I think my dyslexic is catching up with me as I age gracefully. I just want to type what ever that comes into my mind.

Today's dinner was with daddy at the mall. Ended up eating KFC with daddy. Read xinminwanbao like an ah pek, praying hard that no one spots me as I sit there unglamly, reading how christMAS & SelaMAT hari raya managed to escaped. Ha.

I miss catching up with Jean & Jane. It's really upsetting that the timetable clashes totally.

Did I tell you my hubby bought a more than half a carat of something that blings blings even without the help of the sun last week? Hub doesn't earn much, but he knows how to, once in a blue moon, pamper me with a lady's best friend(not dogs). It's now on my index finger on the left. Heard that there's this vein that links from left index to heart. Don't know how true is tat.

Hub set up my make up wardrobe. with lights and mirrors and nice shelves!!! He's a genius. Must take photos. I luv him. He's always so selflessssss...

Drove up to Sentosa, and watched helplessly as $12 gets "supped" by the entry gantry(it rhymes!) Did the math, 5x$2 plus $2. But still.. anyway, lots of nice nice photos. At the Imbiah lookout, I was shouting so loudly at one point that my friend, Ant, who happened to be working there(i forgot!), rushed out and checked out whether it's another Mas Lalamat case... And he saw me. I can't remmeber, but I thnk he was carrying a hunting gun, trying to spot the wild animal that was roaring "Help! I am lost!" hahahaha... it's so funny! long time no see him, and that is how I managed to see him. I risked peacock attacks by parking at that carpark.

Haha... You don't have to understand my blog entries. Really. It's all for my records. my own records. I wanna read thru my blog in the year 2088 and recall all that had happened to me since 2003. (My blog is 6 years old!!!!!) *gasp*

Loreal sale is up tml. Sobbbb.... I can't go.I think i need help. Have Impulsive shopping disorder. Hyperventilates when I see sale. And that day, I found out that I have 55 handbags. 17 eye shadows. 9 bottles of facial foam. 5 mascaras. 4 eyeliners. Hub says if i monetises all my items I could be a brillionaire(brillionaire=a millionaire who is brilliant, and only applies to pple with the name Jesslyn)

In my mummy's words "Buy so many for what? You scared pple's shop closed down is it?"

Hahhahahaha!

Marked the whole morning. phew. *sweats*

Swine rhymes with wine.
Perhaps the cure's in that line.
Idea that's mine.
All you can say, that's fine!

What do you say when something great that you didn't even dream of comes true?

It's not "dreams come true", cuz those were not even dreamt of! You know what I mean?

Something-that-I-never-would-dream-of came true, one for hubby and the other for mee.

Hubby and I need to dream more. But then again, we are pple happy with whatever we have. Though we don't mind a little pamperings once in a while...

Really, being contented in life really helps. Cuz when those Something-that-I-never-would-dream-of things come along, it delight us!

Bought PS 3 for the hub

Saturday, April 25, 2009

Thursday was spent with 2 other colleagues at PoP-Eyes @ T3 while the hub played basketball.

Yesterday I picked up hub from his school and went for a late night steamboat. We talked about how our week went by and how dramatic my day had been. Then, we headed to this deserted theatre and tried to watch the movie, "The International", which was rather unsuccessful as we got too comfortable and slept.

The whole theatre was empty, so we made our way up to their couple seat(which consists of a cordoned area, a 2-seater leather sofa and a coffee table to plod our legs on)

Fridays are great. But it is because of the presence of mondays-thursdays that fridays are well-loved. The staffroom turns crazy on fridays. There was that friday which we talked about carrying out an action research on outsourcing our compo marking, then there was that friday which we started playing basketball in the staffroom itself. Yesterday was the friday when we had paperball fights across the lorong, which slowly dramatised to a rubberband shooting game. And finally, it ended with The Cleanup.

Halfway through dinner, I received a very very interesting sms-es from a colleague... :)

I realised that I am getting wiser. I have been spending lesser time online. I used to spend sooo much time online chatting and enjoying it. However, I realised I no longer enjoy that. Even blog entries have reduced drastically.

See, I gtg. I am sooo bored online.

I couldn't control my emotions as I 'lectured'(in a very motherly way) one of my children.

Bad. Can never be a counsellor.

The love of a parent can never be measured.

On a happier note, TGIT(Thank God it's Thursday!) Thursdays are my favourites! Cuz thursdays are very near to fridays and I want to clear lots of things during this weekend.

And so a wall suddenly germinated and sprouted from the dusty, dimly lit area and started hitting the poor innocent car.

Now my poor baby has an extra scar on his backside. And the owner in the car had a horrible experience, nearly ended up with a twisted wrist (how would she be able to mark her books if that really happened!)

Horrible wall! You deserved to be cracked. Though I feel sorry for you that you are less than a year old.

I woke up at 5 am, staring at my wallpaper, missing the children of Charity 3.

Weird. I miss school.

Nvm, I enjoyed Tampines 1 yesterday! A must-go!
